Yoga and teaching bring together two activities that I love. Both embody health, awareness, and connection to self and to others. Teaching is a way to share something loved and valued; a way to create community and vitality.
I earned my Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification in California under Valerie Moselle, owner of Luma Yoga Studio in Santa Cruz, California. Valerie has studied and taught in California and India and studied under master teachers including Max Strom, author of There is No App for Happiness. The training was rich in anatomy, sequencing, spirit, and the energy body and Chakras. The enthusiasm I have for the power of yoga and my open heart create a supportive and fun teaching environment. I have also been a student at the Chopra Center in San Diego studying Ayurveda, which I plan to bring into my teaching.
My three children are the inspiration for everything I do. Observing how hard they work and the stress they are under motivates me to give them, and our youth, tools to manage; tools that can be called on from within vs. externally. I look forward to bringing classes to our community for our youth.
My goal is to create a yoga class that cultivates a strong body and peaceful mind, woven together with the threads of awareness, breath and intention.
